Dive in, to creating art and feeling inspired at a weekend filled with 3 photoshoots lead by me, all planned out perfectly to fill your creative cup. When we are not photographing, we are relaxing by the pool or in the living space with some good food, good people, and lots of photo editing.

Our stay
The house
~
For 2 nights stay, we will be staying in a luxurious house among the vineyards. Only 10 minutes driving distance to Maslins Beach, where we will be doing our land session.
The yard
~
In the yard has a stunning heated pool that goes to 1.8 meters deep on the deepest end. In this stunning pool we will learn how to swim and position ourselves in the water, as well as having our maternity session here.

Inside the house is an open space dining, kitchen, and lounge area, and a private room with a queen size bed for your stay.

There is a 30% deposit fee to secure your spot, this deposit is non-refundable. The remainder must be paid two weeks before the workshop.
FAQ
Do I have to have an underwater housing for my camera?
No you don't! I find that GoPros are a great tool for learning, and they are so affordable while saving for a housing housing! In fact, I still use my GoPro for all of my videos
Do I have to know how to swim for the underwater photos?
Yes. I have to look out for all the attendees, models and myself. You must be able to swim to participate, you must absolutely know how to swim for the ocean session.
What skill level is this for?
This is perfect for both entry level photographers just starting out and established photographers wanting to broaden or see a different approach to underwater photography.
What kind of guidance will we receive during the sessions?
During the photoshoots you will observe me talking to and posing our model, I will observe the light and how it is hitting her, and pose her as how I see is best (I will try to be loud enough for you to hear me, but you must get in close to be able to hear me). Once I have posed her (or after the session during theory talk) I will re explain what I have done (going through prompts and poses) and help direct you to the best angles and compositions. I will direct the group to move back for faraway shots and in for close ups, to ensure we all get a good variety in our shots. You are also welcome to ask me any questions you have during the session, and I will show/ explain my answers.
Do I need to practice swimming before the workshop?
I recommend practicing at least once a fortnight, practice sitting, standing, laying, duck diving and swimming underwater! This will help make sure you aren’t missing anything during the underwater sessions and that you are ready to go!
During our online sessions together I will give you tips for you to practice, including some of the poses I give my models (it’s good for you to know how to do these poses too so you can better explain it to your models!)

Will allergies and food preferences be catered to?
Yes. I will be providing filling and healthy meals, and taking food requests. If there is any foods that may cause anaphylaxis to simply be around, please let me know.
What if it rains or the ocean conditions are no good?
If the weather is not good for underwater in the ocean, we will have to swap it out for another land or pool session. If it is raining for the land or pool session we will continue in the rain! The rain can make for beautiful photo opportunities.
Can I use the images I take for my portfolio?
Yes of course!! This is what the workshop is all about, to help you get the best photos for your portfolio and to take away new tips and tricks!
