Welcome to ÉLAN, my live photography webinar where I’m opening up the way I create, from the first spark of an idea through styling, posing and directing, working with my clients, shooting on land and underwater, and bringing it all together in the final image.
After years of developing a style that has become recognisably my own, I want to show you the decisions happening behind the photographs. From choosing the way I style my models and directing the smallest details of her pose, to creating underwater in both the ocean and pool. I’ll be breaking down the thought process behind my choices and showing you how they come together to create the work you see in my portfolio.

LAND
You’ll follow one of my maternity shoots from the beginning. I’ll take you through my initial idea, styling and preparation, then bring you onto the shoot with me to see how I choose my light, position and direct my model, make decisions in the moment and create the final photographs.
UNDERWATER
Then we’re doing it again underwater. You’ll see the planning, styling and practical decisions that happen before I enter the water, followed by the reality of directing and creating beneath the surface in a pool setting.

How an idea forms in my head, how I digitally mock up concepts, source and create styling, and show my process to final image.
